Hiking in Ramsau am Dachstein
On the Ramsau plateau you will find level and comfortable paths for easy walks and family hikes.
In the region of the mountain pastures between 1100m and 1400m there are traditional huts with catering and exceptional panoramic views. From there you can start more challenging tours and trails into high and rocky terrains.

Mountain climbing and via ferrata
The Dachstein glacier area provides a number of spectacular fixed iron rope trails and free climbing routes. The vertical south walls attract the very experienced climbers.
The Ramsau mountain guide agency offers guided tours at all levels.

Dachstein Glacier
Sky Walk – Ice-Palace – Suspension Bridge – "stairways to nothingness"
The "Sky-Walk"-platform at 2700m with its 360° panoramic view and a glass floor is one of the most extraordinary view platforms in the Alps.
Only 100m from the top-station of the Dachstein-Seilbahn you can dive into the interior of the glacier world of the ice-palace with its fantastic ice-sculptures, changing every year according to popular themes. A new suspension bridge leads to a well secured "stairways to nothingness", from which you can look down hundreds of metres or see more than hundred kilometres into the far distance.
Nature trails for our younger guests

There is a lot to explore for children of all ages. In Ramsau am Dachstein you find Austria's first "Nature and Theme Trail for Kids". On eight different trails kids can follow the tracks of "Kali – the Ramsaurier", - mascot number one among our young holiday makers.
Two Via Ferratas for kids have been set up on the Sattelberg starting at the old mill and leading up to the summit with a "Flying Fox" shortening the way down.
The ones who are not into climbing can make the easier "fairytale trail" or the nature theme trail with 115 playstations for kids, parents and grandparents.
Rittisberg – the adventure mountain
The leisure park "Ramsau Beach" at the bottom of Rittisberg is the ideal playground for the young with splash, giant sandpit, jumping tower, trampoline, beach volleyball and lots more.
The Rittisberg Coaster with a length of 1300m guarantees fun for everyone. Don't miss high rope "Forest Park" with its flying fox.
